The location was excellent. However, a few unfavorable discrepancies were noted. The cleaning crew failed to clear the enormous amount of debris from the front porch. The covered BB-Q area was deplorable, dirty area rugs were strewn all over the floor, we had to sweep all the debris up just to sit down in the area. There is an overspray of white paint over all the wood floors except the kitchen and living room. The handle on the kitchen faucet was unattached and had to manipulated to turn the water on. The back door was a real problem to close, it needs approximately 1/16 inch shaved off at the top portion in order to close with ease. The bathrooms were outstanding, with the exception of no hair dryer being available, we were told one was on site, it wasn’t and we had to purchase one. Had a little more attention to details in preparation for incoming guests been accomplished the rating could have been excellent. In other words the cleaning crews performance requires a thorough inspection prior to arriving guests.

This is a charming renovated home that's well decorated and appointed. The location is perfect if you're in the area to enjoy outdoor activities in the mountains, Kerr Scott Lake, or to see a race at the local speedway. My wife and I (and dog) enjoyed a long weekend there to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. Critical feedback would be the house could use a good cleaning. There were dust bunnies located on the baseboards, ceiling fans, under most furniture. Also, I love to cook and was looking forward to cooking meals in the gorgeous kitchen with its commercial like range, hood, and oven (there's even a nice scullery with a prep sink and draw microwave). Unfortunately, only three of the six burners worked as two had an improper air/gas mixture resulting in orange flames (will result in add'l carbon monoxide) and the over the range hood was not connected. So, I was unable to vent. Those issues aside, we would stay again if the home is better cleaned. As for the kitchen, it worked for me and wife as I was only cooking for two. If you had a larger gathering, it could be problematic, especially if your searing a protein on the range.
